ADVERB CONNECTORS AND THE USING
Adverb clauses can express the ideas of time and cause, as mentioned in the previous post. Adverb clauses can also express a number of other ideas, such as contrast, condition, manner, and place. They also have the same structure as the time and cause clauses that mentioned in PREVIOUS POST, because these clauses are adverb clauses. Study these examples below:
Jonas will come here at 7:00 if Ann is ready.
Although Harry was late, He managed to catch the bus as he can.
In every sentence above, two clauses have correctly joined with adverb connectors. In the first sentence above, the adverb condition connector (if) comes in the middle of the sentence. In the second sentence, the adverb contrast connector although comes at the beginning of the sentence. There also a comma (,) used in the middle of the sentence.
